Efficiency of the oil production technology is a critical issue for the industry. In many cases, for mature fields it can be achieved by waterflooding optimization which is the main oil recovery technique. Such optimization, in general case, is some regulation of volume of injected water for each active injection well in order to improving oil displacement process. Nowadays, this task is solved using a geostatistical & stochastic reservoir description via 3D dynamic modeling. Such approach has some disadvantages like ‘noisiness’ of the field data, physical model interpretability issue, as well as high computing demands. Moreover, the 3D geological and hydrodynamic model, modern and complex tool for reservoir characterization, does not offer any feature for injection rates calculation that allow to increase full field production profile.

Nowadays CCTV cameras and broadband are available due low cost. Most of operational areas including drilling rigs, well pads and service hangars are equipped with cameras. The capabilities of the video stream are mainly aimed to record and store the video stream for post-incident analysis though. The proposed solution is based on the analysis of the video stream from CCTV cameras in real time without involvement of the rig personnel. The algorithm can target both operation supervising and compliance to HSE standards objectives. The approach uses the modern advantages of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Situational Analysis, including convolutional neural networks for detecting key objects and their states in video streams.
